UK-India Year of Culture Reception Buckingham Palace

Kay attended a glittering reception at Buckingham Palace on Monday night where she met the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Earl of Wessex and Prince Michael of Kent.
Belle was invited to attend the UK-India Year of Culture Reception at Buckingham Palace as a result of our work with the Tigeropolis book series for children and our continuing involvement in the work of the Creative Industries Federation.
The Tigeropolis books are set in India in a fictional tiger park called Tigeropolis – the central characters are a family of vegetarian royal bengal tigers who battle to save their forest home from the developers, whilst also outwitting forest guards, poachers and Maharajas. Belle is connected with local tiger advocacy and conservation groups TOFT and Forest Guardians. Long term friend and founder of TOFT Julian Matthews was also in attendance.
The Queen wished us well with our Tigeropolis project. The Earl of Wessex talked about his links to Kay’s home town of Greenock on the Clyde and to the town’s Beacon Arts project of which he is Patron.
Kay also met Director of Royal Communications Sally Osman whom she worked with at the launch of Channel 5.
