London First – A World Class Creative Capital
Posted by Richard on June 2nd, 2015
Kay has become involved with London First – a non-profit organization trying to help make London a great place to do business.
One sector that they feel has not been given enough prominence in their work in the past nor has it been in the thoughts of Government (local and national) is our Creative Sector – it’s World Class and has the potential to grow rapidly.
The Creative Sector is worth over £76 billion a year to the UK and 25% of Creative Sector employment is in London – Creative Skillset’s recent Workforce Survey estimated 518,000 people work in the Creative Industries in London. The mix of cultures, industries and the skill base that is London must be a key factor in this success.
